Albion Michigan was originally founded at this location – the north and south forks of the Kalamazoo River. Albion’s first European pioneers, the Tenney Peabody family, settled at the Forks of the Kalamazoo in 1833, building their cabin with a thatched roof of grass from the nearby river. This art by our webmaster Maggie LaNoue captures the view, as seen from the bridge. See more of her art, including the legend of this view for thousands of years earlier, from her website http://www.MichiganPrints.com.
