This is a beginning ceramics class for adult students who want a creative start to their day and maybe create that unique holiday gift for someone special. Experienced students are also welcomed. A variety of techniques will be explored – coil, pinch, slab and other clay-forming methods will be demonstrated, along with an introduction to the potter’s wheel. Students will learn about glazing, loading kilns and Raku firing will also be available.

Includes all materials, equipment and firing fees.

Cost is $80.

“Open Studio” for Adults
(Learn at your own pace. Come and go as you please during any of these 4 hour sessions.)

Beginning November 6th

This on-going class series provides a flexible schedule for you to develop your personal creative style while exploring the art method of your choice – draw, paint or work in clay. You purchase studio time, have access to art materials and tools, and can join at any time since the series never ends. Miss a class no problem; simply
come another time until your purchased sessions are completed. Teaching demonstration will be available upon request.

Basic materials and tools included.

Cost is $165 for Five (4-hour) Sessions.

This after-school class will explore a variety of clay and sculpture
techniques and processes. Coil, pinch, slab, and drape methods will be
demonstrated, along with an introduction to the potter’s wheel and
aluminum foil sculpture forming methods.

All materials are included.

Students should arrive just before 4 P.M. and be picked up at 5:30 PM.

Cost – $65.

3-Hour Raku Workshops
Friday evenings, Saturday mornings afternoons and/or evenings.
3 to 4 hour sessions
A great date for couples, woman’s-night-out, family groups, grandparents & grandkids, business & ministry teams and other small groups and organizations.

This popular 3-hour workshop incorporates a uniquely creative activity with a touch of food, fellowship and fun. Come and experience the smoke and fire of this exciting alternative ceramic art technique and firing process often referred to as Raku. Learn and create as you explore various ceramic techniques, processes and tools, including the potter’s wheel. Select and glaze a ceramic art piece and assist in the firing process, which results in distinct glaze colors, patterns and designs. Take home wonderful memories and a beautiful work of art.
